G4 offers an unbeatable set of features for customer-specific flexibility: a product that consists of parts and assemblies from various projects and directories can be saved as a new project such that all or selected components are saved as new documents under the customer project.

Automated Design

Different stages of design can be automated via G4 automation and can be driven via a dimension table for example. Vertex DAS (Design Automation System) takes this idea furtherby allowing real-time modification of the product model.

Power Tool for Product Designers

As the design progresses from concepts to sketches to detail design, documents are continuously modified (often dozens of times). G4 retains design intent and eases workload with its easy-to-learn logical parametric feature-based modeling and context-sensitive functionality. Static and dynamic collision detection for assemblies allows realistic simulation of assembly and/or kinematics of the design without having to build a prototype.

Free-form Modeling

G4 includes an excellent set of features for modeling free-form shapes (plastic products and castings, for example). These features include sweep, loft, draft, shrinkage factors and versatile parting surfaces. 3D surface models created using third-party modeling software can also be imported into G4.

Visualization

G4's visualization option allows creation of photorealistically rendered images of 3D models.
