Vertex Systems to open in Australia

Press release, June 13th 2008

Finnish-based Vertex Systems - a company designing and producing CAD design and data management systems for the construction industry – is to open a dedicated sales and support office in Brisbane, Australia scheduled to launch September ‘08.

Increasing numbers of homes and light commercial structures are pre-fabricated offsite to satisfy the demand for accuracy and energy efficiency, and timber frame and steel frame designers, manufacturers and developers are finding the Vertex system is delivering “significant” savings because of its speed and efficiency.

Juho Suomalainen, who will head up the new office as President, said Vertex is already well known within Australia, as well as New Zealand and Asia, and now was the right time to base the new office there: -

Our research suggests strong economic growth will continue, particularly in the housing and light commercial property markets, and we have some existing and important clients across the region.”

“We therefore decided to add Australia to our already established offices in Finland, United Kingdom, United States, Singapore and China in order to provide a closer, better service to both existing and prospective clients across Australasia.”

Senior Project Manager Heikki Hassinen will join Juho Suomalainen at the Queensland base – both men having worked with Vertex at the company’s Tampere, Finland, HQ for over ten years.
